Access bank is a financial institution operating in many countries in Africa. It is sponsoring a scholarship programme because of its partnership with Udacity. It has millions of customers around the world and it is contributing to education and social progress through its scholarship programme targeted at building young people in their dream career by helping them, through scholarship to have higher degrees and profession al qualifications.

It is a non-degree scholarship to be offered to no less than 1000 beneficiaries in partnership with UDACITY. The 1000 Africans to benefit from the scholarship prgramme will be trained to build their personal skills. They will acquire skills to enable them take advantage of opportunities in Africa.

What the scholarship programme will over
Udacity which is a major partner with Access Bank to provide this scholarship will provide training for programmes like Business analytics, programming, data science, product management and digital marketing. During the programme, recipients f the scholarship will be required to execute projects. The projects are considered a demonstration of the programmes impact on the awardees.
It is expected that the programme will bridge the gap between tech jobs that are readily available in the African economy and many unemployed youths in Africa. It will help develop the African economy from third world to first world.
Successful applicants will enjoy engagements with fellow awardees in a community of learners. They will be trained where they can relate with one another and share ideas.
The nano degree programme will equip awardees with high demand tech skills.
There will be professionals to tutor them and experienced coaches will be available.
It is not just a scholarship programme for those that want to acquire skills because those that are experienced can improve eon their skills through this training.

The line for this scholarship programme
Application for the 2021 Udacity/Access bank scholarship is open from August 2 – August 31, 2021 because of the short timeline.
Interested applicants will take part in a challenge and winners will be announced on September 10, 2021
Between September 13 and October 18, 2021 there will be a challenge course for applicants Scholarship winners will be publicized October 28 and scholarship for the programme will run from October 29 to December 24, 2021.
How to apply for this scholarship programme.
The scholarship programme is opened to anyone 20 years and older. They must provide 5 to 10 hours weekly during the three months programme.
Applicants must know how to use a computer and they should know how to install /download applications.
Applicants must be able to use google search features
The ability to open files, folders and perform simple tasks is required.
Proficiency in written and spoken English,
Access to a laptop and data connection
Evidence of a career in in the digital industry
Consent for personal details to be shared with access bank pls.
You must be a recent graduate from school, university or professional careers. Non graduates can apply because it is a nonacademic degree.
